Supinated forefoot   When it adapts to the ground there is a higher body pressure on the 4th and 5th metatarsal heads….like a pressed coil ready to spring up as soon as foot is lifted from floor!   SUPINATED forefoot without compensation: the whole foot is supinated even calcaneus.   SUPINATED forefoot with compensation: Flat foot with calcaneus valgus.
PRONATED forefoot   If you understand foot biomechanics you can understand why we have callosities,Morton’s neuroma,hallux valgus,plantar fascitis etc.
Many doctors even specialists die without any understanding of foot biomechanics! An arched foot is more prone to distortions…like a high car with narrow tyres! A proper insole is therefore useful:it prevents fractures(thigh bone),it helps keep the balance further impaired by diseases such as Parkinson’s.
